You may have noticed the lack of updates lately. That’s because ever since we moved to the new lab, I’ve been put in charge of overseeing these students. As lab overseer, I’m stationed right above the door where I can see everything that goes on. The “West Side,” as they like to call themselves, seem to be trying to start a turf war within the lab. I support this, because if they kill each other off, then I get all the space I want. That’ll show them… rip me from my window sill, why don’t they…
On another note… it seems that the spammers have finally found my blog. Clever people they are, promising me stories of animal sex if I click on their links… luckily, I haven’t been in seclab for 3 years just idling. I know spam when I see it. What do they think I am, some kind of inter-species pervert? And this makes me wonder what other sentient animals out there are also blogging enough for spammers to want to target them with custom taglines?

Once again, I was unceremoniously crammed into a dark, messy bag. This time I had Tubby for company. I thought he was harmlessly boring at MSR, where I mostly ignored him and surfed the web or forged useless messages as FASEE on this interns mailing list. He is, in fact, not harmlessly boring. He is incredibly boring to the fact where I wished I had more strength in my cute, plushy arms with which to squeeze him silent. Throughout the trip, he droned on and on about how we should not pay attention to the opinion of the highest paid person, but rather, heed the customer. I can read, you know. I know “Listen to the Customers” is tattooed on his back, and frankly, I couldn’t care less. We koalas have a good way of dealing with beaurecracy and stupidity. It’s called Sharp Claws. I wish I had some.

Every time I see FASEE shivering because the AC in the room is ridiculously cold, I laugh gleefully inside. I’m always warm. These days I have a constant smile because:
- No koala baby cookies.
- I’m warm, she’s cold.
- No abusive dogs around.
- No sharks or giant plastic monsters.
I’m going to be very disappointed when I have to sit on her uncomfortable monitor in Davis again and listen to rumbling fan. And worry about being left behind when there’s fire alarms.

Today, thank god, was cruelty free. This is mostly because I didn’t get to go out much. They took me to a Greek place, where the wall was painted with such nice greens I wanted to burrow into it.

Then, because they clearly couldn’t eat enough, they went for dessert.

I got to rest undisturbed for the rest of the day while FASEE wandered around.
