hurray for Koala on the right!

Orientation: Upside Down

My glasses are still crushing my body. However, I managed to look up some videos of koalas in Australia today on youtube, in preparation for my trip home. Here’s one that I really like.  I nearly fell off the desk laughing when I saw the koala on the left get almost knocked out of the tree. The koala on the right is tough. She (I think it’s a she… the video’s too blurry to tell) is a koala with courage and spunk. Maybe I can meet her.

Hey… why don’t I have claws?

ticket home

Using the elite skills I picked up from hanging out in the security lab, I managed to buy myself a ticket to Sydney on someone else’s credit card. With all this rain in Davis now, I think I’ll be looking forward to the beautiful spring days down under. Now there’s just the small problem of getting myself to the airport…

tons of visitors

Orientation: Upside Down

There’s tons of new people walking in and out and playing with the iPhone today. I tried playing with it when the humans were on a lunch break today, but my paws are too big and I couldn’t do anything except press the Home and Sleep buttons. The touchscreen didn’t work… which made me realize that I’m stuffed and not actually flesh and blood like other koalas. Does this make me a ghost? I feel alive… I feel like a computer scientist. I know where I was born and when I emigrated from Australia. Has my entire life been a lie??

WHO AM I?? WHAT AM I?

music!

Orientation: Upside down

I got some new music recently. It’s an a-cappella cd. Artists in Resonance. I like a-cappella group names because they’re always a pun on something. The engineering/nerdy schools usually have better names, but I’m slightly biased, being a science-prone koala.

Ooof, I think the blood’s rushing to my head from being upside down. I’m feeling woozy. And my glasses are crushing my stomach!

new lab

 Orientation: Normal

Oh, with the excitement of getting new glasses I almost forgot that I’m in a new lab now. Well, not NEW lab because this lab’s been around for a while, but it’s a new location for me. Same sore neck setup though.
