Japan – Day 3

Today was filled with cherry blossoms and food. As always. I never get to go out of the bag when they’re walking around.

It’s amazing how many people gather in the park for picnics under the cherry trees!

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to perch on a branch and relax.

Don’t they realize that I’m too masculine to pose with a big pink flower??

I tried to make my escape through some bushes, but alas, was unsuccessful.

They went to Harajuku and I missed all the fun, of course. I did get to go out in Yokohama when they stopped to eat.

There I am getting water.

Why hello there, you strange creature. I don’t envy your fate.

A few hours later, I got watered again at some other restaurant. They sure eat a lot.

Do you see how miserable I feel being forced to pose with this odd vitamin drink?

Humans eat the weirdest things. It’s still mostly raw!!

I’ll post about Kyoto soon. And Korea after that!

Japan – Day 2

The female actually managed to wake up pretty early today, which is amazing considering how much she sleeps. Of course, that disturbed MY sleep.

There was a cake shop involved but she wandered around looking like the tourist that she is snapping pictures left and right. On the bright side, I got to play with a vending machine.

She moved me from that cramped purse to her little convenience store bag. Humans eat the strangest things.

I enjoyed the fresh air for a bit before being forced back into the bag until the humans decided to break for lunch.

If I jump, maybe this smell will go away.

Raw fish. I’ll take eucalyptus over that any day.

Around dinner time, I got upgraded to an even bigger bag, after being stuffed in a POCKET from after lunch till then. Someone needs to call PETA.

There was a pot of spiciness behind me.
If I could drink, I bet I would enjoy tea immensely.

The bowl is huge. Haven’t I been saying that my Female Asian Stowaway Experience Enabler (FASEE) is a pig??

Japan – Day 1

The female put me in her purse, as if I’m one of those spoiled midget dogs that people consider so fashionable to tote around. The plane was delayed, but that didn’t dampen my excitement. The female read some modern Russian history book, on account of the many wars and revolutions that made it interesting. I stayed squished in the bag. Ugh.

On the plane, I was squished between the female and this corpulent mass of a man who spilled over into her seat. Humans are odd creatures. If a koala ever got that fat, he would be unable to cling to the trees and would be snuffed out by predators who are more fit. Humans don’t have to worry about that. Well, this human had to worry about how he’d wedge himself in the tiny seat and how he’d squeeze himself out, I suppose.

I slept most of the flight, so there aren’t many pictures, but I did manage to wake up and get a picture of myself when we landed.

Narita airport smells faintly of smoke in the lobby area. The female finally let me out so I could stretch my legs for a bit. We ventured outside briefly and ducked back in immediately because the cigarette smoke was so overpowering. Aside from that, the airport is really nice and clean. And there’s lots of vending machines!!

Grace came to pick us up and I was forced to pose with her. I did not appreciate her look of disgust. That’s just rude.

Grace led us to the Narita express, because some accident had closed down the train that she usually took. We stopped for a vending machine treat (hot green tea!)

Then we got on the train where the humans looked through magazines with photos of really good food and then there was one unsavory picture.

And then they took me out for dinner, but they were too busy paying attention to the food to take pictures of me in the really oddly (as in really unexpected body parts) decorated restaurant, aside from this.

And that’s all I have for today!

Stowaway… again

The female brought me back to her apartment, where I stayed comfortably flat on a table for a day or two. And then I managed to hop down and hide in the suitcase because she was too busy packing unnecessary stuff to pay attention to me.
 Me in the suitcase
Yeah. It was as cramped as it looked.

Good thing I’m so little, huh? I got discovered and now I’m squished between a camera and a nintendo DS in a purse. Ugh. I guess I’ll stay this way until she decides to be merciful. Can’t complain though… I’m getting a free trip to Japan and Korea!

Silent Lab

The lab is unusually silent today. I’ve heard rumors that my-stowaway-experience-enabler (MSEE) is sick. I hope he gets well, since he’s never eaten koala babies. The female was in briefly but left for home. Leaving me, once again, to my inevitable demise. I peeked at her e-mail and saw that there was some campus incident involving explosives? What if stuff like that happens in this lab?? I mean, that computer tower next to me is always rumbling like it’s going to blow up!!

I’m getting far too bitter in this environment. I need to get away!
