Before coming to Davis, I was an east-coaster by way of Massachusetts. I still consider myself Bostonian, though I must admit that the sunny Californian winters are much easier to bear. As a Bostonian and Californian, I am understandably rather liberal in my views. Here in Davis, I'm involved in WiCS and CSGSA. I organize a social event each quarter using CSGSA's money.

Regarding interests besides computers: I like learning new languages, reading (historical fiction, classics, mythology, history, mystery novels, and a bit of sci-fi.), watching movies, listening to music, etc. I also keep a blog in which I occasionally post creative writing in addition to very mundane entries regarding my opinions and life. I enjoy video games, like any typical computer geek. I like crosswords very much and I've recently become interested in puzzles.
